BCM APPOINTS ALTRIS ENGINEERING TO ADVANCE
EMA PROJECT INTO FEED
Highlights
• Altris Engineering appointed as Lead Design Engineer for the Ema Project front-
end engineering design (FEED) phase
• Appointment provides continuity from the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS), which
was also led by Altris
• FEED will further develop the engineering and design of the Ema process plant and
associated infrastructure and prepare the Project for transition into detailed
engineering and procurement
• Major equipment packages will be developed to support technically conforming
vendor quotations and procurement readiness.
• The FEED programme is expected to be completed over approximately 24 weeks
• Altris will work alongside BCM and specialist consultants during FEED, with the
completed engineering package designed to transition efficiently to a Brazilian
contractor for detailed design and construction engineering
Brazilian Critical Minerals Limited (ASX: BCM) (“BCM” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the
appointment of Altris Engineering (“Altris”) as Lead Design Engineer for the Front-End Engineering and
Design (“FEED”) phase of the Company’s flagship Ema Rare Earth Project in Brazil.
The appointment represents the next major engineering stage for the Ema Project and continues the
project’s progression from feasibility towards financing, procurement, Final Investment Decision (“FID”)
and ultimately construction.
Advancing Ema Towards Development
Altris previously led the engineering component of the Ema BFS and has developed detailed knowledge
of the Project’s process design, infrastructure requirements, execution strategy, capital costs and key
development risks.
The continuation of the existing engineering team into FEED allows BCM to retain the substantial
engineering knowledge developed during the BFS and avoids the additional time, cost and technical risk
associated with transferring the Project to a new engineering consultant.

The FEED programme has been designed to mature the existing engineering, confirm major equipment
selections, further optimise the process plant and infrastructure design, develop procurement packages
and further refine the Project’s capital cost and implementation schedule.
The completed FEED package is intended to provide BCM with a substantially more advanced
engineering basis to support project financing, procurement, regulatory approvals and FID, while
establishing the technical foundation for subsequent detailed design and construction.
Andrew Reid, Managing Director (BCM), commented:
“The appointment of Altris to undertake the FEED is the next important step in moving Ema from
feasibility into project execution. Having Altris continue as our Lead Design Engineer provides significant
advantages. Their team already has an intimate understanding of the Ema flowsheet, infrastructure and
development strategy following their work on the BFS, allowing us to move immediately into the next
engineering phase without having to rebuild that project knowledge.
The focus of FEED is now increasingly about execution — finalising key engineering decisions, obtaining
vendor quotations, advancing procurement packages, optimising capital and operating costs and further
reducing the technical and execution risks ahead of a Final Investment Decision.
Importantly, this work will substantially increase the engineering maturity of Ema and provide the
platform required to move efficiently into detailed design, procurement and ultimately construction.
BCM continues to systematically de-risk Ema and advance what we believe has the potential to become
a strategically important, low-cost source of rare earths outside of China.”
Michael Ehlers, Managing Director (Altris), commented:
“Altris is delighted to continue its partnership with BCM as the Ema Rare Earth Project moves into the
next stage of engineering. Our involvement through the BFS has given us a detailed understanding of
the Project and, importantly, allows the FEED phase to commence with continuity of design knowledge
and a clear focus on execution.
This stage is about increasing project certainty — advancing engineering maturity, firming up major
equipment selections and vendor pricing, refining capital costs and schedules, and reducing the key
technical and execution risks ahead of financing and Final Investment Decision.
In-situ recovery of ionic clay rare earths has historically been concentrated in China and parts of
Southeast Asia, and Ema is now one of the most advanced projects seeking to establish this type of
operation in the Western world. Being able to work alongside BCM to develop the engineering for a
project that could help establish an entirely new source of rare earth supply is incredibly exciting for our
team.”

FEED Scope
Altris will provide multidisciplinary engineering services across the Ema Project and will retain overall
responsibility for engineering integration during the FEED phase.
The work will cover the Ema processing facilities from receipt of pregnant leach solution (“PLS”)
generated by the ISR wellfield through impurity removal, Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate (“MREC”)
precipitation, dewatering and product load-out.
The FEED will also incorporate ongoing testwork, field investigations and optimisation studies as they
become available.
Procurement and Project Execution Readiness
A significant component of the FEED programme will be advancing major equipment packages towards
procurement.
Altris will develop equipment specifications, datasheets and enquiry documentation, coordinate
Requests for Quotation and technically evaluate vendor proposals.
The objective is to bring major equipment packages to the point of technically conforming quotations,
providing BCM with greater certainty around equipment selection, pricing and delivery schedules ahead
of project execution.
The FEED programme will additionally refine the Project execution strategy, capital cost estimate and
implementation schedule and undertake ongoing value engineering aimed at improving capital
efficiency, operating costs, constructability and operational performance.
Transition to Detailed Design in Brazil
Following completion of FEED, detailed engineering and construction documentation will be undertaken
by a suitably qualified Brazilian contractor operating within the Brazilian CONFEA/CREA regulatory
framework.
Altris will assist BCM with the transition of the FEED package to the appointed Brazilian contractor and
will provide technical handover and design continuity to preserve the engineering intent established
through the BFS and FEED phases.

About Brazilian Critical Minerals Ltd
The Ema Rare Earth Project is an ionic
adsorption clay rare earth project located near
Apuí in Amazonas State, Brazil.
The Project is being developed using In-Situ
Recovery (“ISR”), with magnesium sulphate
solution used to recover rare earth elements
from the mineralised clay profile. The
recovered rare earths are subsequently
processed to produce a Mixed Rare Earth
Carbonate suitable for export and downstream
refining.
The FEED stage represents the next
engineering step in BCM’s strategy to
progressively de-risk the Ema Project and
advance it towards development.
