41.5% Magnet MREC generated from EMA field trials
Summary
52.5% TREO in MREC produced from ANSTO TESTWORK
Production of a high grade mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC) grading 52.5% TREO which contains exceptionally high levels of magnet oxides 41.5% from field trial liquor solution
Highlights
· 52.5% TREO in MREC product produced from ANSTO flowsheet testwork in Sydney delivering outstanding high quality final product from Ema field trial solutions
· 41.5% magnet rare earth oxides (MREO) as a proportion of total rare earth composition is one of the highest grade products produced in the western world
· Low impurities representing <2% of MREC
· MREC produced without the need for any complex flotation and/or hydrometallurgical processing eliminating the need of some 80-90% of CAPEX compared to most rare earth projects
· MREC samples have been sent to prospective offtakers for validation testing as part of ongoing discussions
· ANSTO to continue with follow-up optimisation testwork around impurity removal and MREC precipitation
· Results to be incorporated into upcoming bankable feasibility study
