EMA REE Project produces first high grade MREC from field trial

Low grade off-spec field solution creates high grade MREC containing 50% TREO

Highlights

· First investigative MREC batch successfully generated using 1,000l of off-spec field-collected pregnant leach solution (PLS)

· Production of a high grade MREC containing 50% TREO concentration from a low-grade feed solution grading 326 ppm TREO

· Recovered ~300g MREC confirming effective rare earth precipitation despite low feed grade

· Demonstrates successful recovery of rare earths under representative field conditions using available PLS

· ANSTO have commenced follow-up tests to focus on optimisation of pH and carbonate dosing parameters through process control

· Results confirm that the carbonate precipitation pathway is commercially viable and provides a strong foundation for the next stage of process optimisation
